Who we are
Kikai is a service of MR Global Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 57 668 294 237), based in Melbourne, Australia. Kikai connects companies with vetted, Australian-based design and research experts. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
When you join the waitlist: whether you're a company, an expert or both; your name and email; and, if you choose, your company or role, your state, and what you'd use Kikai for or your specialty.
When you give feedback on our prototype: your answers to the survey. Your name and email are optional, and we only ask for them if you want launch news or a follow-up chat. You can give feedback without identifying yourself.
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies on this website.
Why we collect it
- To tell you about Kikai's launch and early access, if you've asked us to.
- To understand interest from companies and experts, and to improve Kikai before launch.
- To contact you for a follow-up conversation, if you've agreed to one.
Joining the waitlist is not an application to join Kikai's roster of experts, and not a booking.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with other companies for their marketing. We use trusted service providers to run the website and store data:
- Supabase stores waitlist sign-ups and feedback, in its Sydney data centre.
- Vercel hosts this website.
- Google Fonts supplies the website's fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.
- We may also move waitlist contacts into HubSpot, our contact-management system, to send launch updates.
Some of these providers are based overseas, including in the United States, and may access or process information outside Australia. We choose providers with strong security practices.
How we store and protect it
Information is stored securely with the providers above. The website can add waitlist and feedback entries but cannot read them back; only Kikai's founder can access them.
Emails and opting out
We'll only email you about Kikai if you've agreed to it. Every email lets you unsubscribe, or you can contact us at any time to stop hearing from us.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Contact us using the details below and we'll respond within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist details until Kikai launches and for as long as you remain interested. Feedback is kept while it's useful for improving Kikai. We delete information when it's no longer needed, or when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as Kikai grows, including before launch, when we'll collect more information from clients and experts. The current version is always at kikai.com.au/privacy.
